Conviction / Autonomy Software
GOOGL
Alphabet Inc.
conviction
Alphabet supplies cloud computing and custom chips to the Pentagon under a contract worth up to 200 million dollars, a small line for a company this size. The investment case rests on its commercial cloud and advertising businesses rather than on anything defense related.
What we judge
The view on expected return from here, 0 to 100.
Whether the thesis could succeed without this company at all. This moves slowly, and only when the company's position genuinely changes.

Why it is in the fund
Thesis
Google Cloud defense contracts, Project Maven lineage in AI-powered ISR, and Distributed Cloud for sovereign military compute.
Standing judgment
Alphabet supplies cloud and accelerator infrastructure to DoD under a $200M CDAO ceiling and the JWCC vehicle, which puts it inside the plumbing of military autonomy, but nothing in this fund's thesis depends on Google specifically. Excellent business at a reasonable multiple and only 7% off its high, but the return has essentially no linkage to defense budgets.
What changed, and why
Every move in this number carries the reason it moved. A score does not change without new evidence.
